Welcome message from our President Dave Banks for 2020

I am really looking forward to the up and coming season and hope to make your season and mine an enjoyable experience. First and foremost during 2020 I hope I can produce ‘more of the same’ as there has been a real buzz around the club especially over the last few years.  I want you and guests at the club to feel that when you arrive you feel welcome and when you leave you have had a great day!

I will be without a Vice President this year which is unfortunate so I may from time to time call on one of you to give me a hand.

My aims are to -

• Get to know all recently accepted and new members to the Club, and with their permission, a cameo identity with their ‘Buddy’.
• Encourage more of the successful bowls and league results, under the watchful eyes of the selection committees and Captains.
• Ensure that the Green playing condition continues to progress under the careful monitoring of the greens committee.
• Ensure support of all the facilities within the Club are managed, so that those people who run them feel valued.
• Have a continuous focus on the building and the updating of internal requirements subject to financial availability

All the above with the full support of the Management Committee and all Post Holders.

My Charity this year is the Bournemouth Heart Club.

This is an organisation close to my ‘heart’ if you pardon the pun and my aim is to raise money to support their continued activities as they now have to raise their funds locally.  I will keep you updated with any events I organise to support the charity.  It provides support for many people in the area and you never know when you or one of your relatives or close friends might need their help, so please be generous during the year.
