Saturday Morning Triples Match Report - 24th July 2021
With the day starting wet things did not look good but our Green was not unduly wet and thankfully the rain at the start soon gave way to sun, though Fordingbrige called to say their green had succumbed to the weather and the game there was off. (Sorry to those players who had set out before my call).
For the games played we can start by congratulating our players at Southbourne, Rob Haile, Frank Westfield, George Stevens, Colin Taylor, Roy Cole, Tom Whelan for a 48-21 win, well done guys!
At home Peter Smith, Steve Towse, Dave Collishaw all played very well but went down to the Kings Park wickers (Top of this League) but Brian Prosser, Geof Judd, Julian Cooke upheld Branksome smiles with a 16-11 win.
In the other game against Bournemouth Broncos, Mike Oliver, Graham New, Roger Owen won every end except the first for a 28-1 win!! While Terry Stimpson, Arthur Baxter, Terry Lemon led all the way but lost the last end to go down 17-18.

Due to the heavy rain Saturday 10th July was a disaster as only the game against Moordown was played and we lost that by one shot on each rink.
